When you adopt a horse from Gray Dapple, you will also be saving the next one from slaughter. The horse racing industry is bright and dark, and the tragic end for slow runners on the track could mean the fate of slaughter. But slow runners make excellent riding horses, so when one of our ex-racehorses becomes adopted, we have the stall space to rescue another slaughter-bound thoroughbred.
Gray Dapple also assists in the placement of thoroughbreds spanning the entire color spectrum, always including horses who have any relationship to the thoroughbred world, such as nurse mare foals and off-track "pony horses." But our specialty is gray dapple thoroughbreds, and to get started in adopting one, you need to follow 3 simple steps: See a horse you like, fill out the Adoption Form, and if you're approved we can schedule a visit!
