Gray Dapple
Thoroughbred Assistance Program - Going Beyond The Finish Line
Marilynn Summers and her daughter, Diana have been loyal supporters of Gray Dapple's horses since November of 2009. Marilynn, a seasoned horse woman herself, owns 3 horses and dreams of someday combining efforts to start a national horse hotel for equines in danger of slaughter, homelessness, neglect and abuse. But until then, Marilynn recognizes the need to help the horses at Gray Dapple. She has provided vet care, dentistry, feed, and wood shavings for the horses at Gray Dapple TAP. She also recently funded the haul of 12 of Gray Dapple's horses to their new rescue farm in upstate NY.
No one has a bigger heart when it comes to horses suffering and no one can meet the challenge of an emergency like Marilynn Summers. She will always be Amanda's dearest of friends. The two share a passion for England and period piece films. They have a special bond that nothing can ever break.
Diana Serriani has helped to problem solve in urgent horse rescue situations that require a detailed game plan. She is known as "the organizer" and usually concocts a mathematical solution to any dilemma that might arise. Diana has autism and has been effectively mainstreamed into society since early childhood. She serves as an advocate for other autistic people and special needs horses. Diana has a special gift and an ability to understand horses in a unique and subliminal way. We feel lucky to be blessed by her presence.
Diana is also a lyrical soprano. She is currently recording a ballad to spread anti-horse slaughter awareness for Gray Dapple TAP
