Frankie and Soulmate in the Bravo Kill Lot
When she was good for nothing at that track, she was delivered to Bravo Packing. Monty was excited to see that she was young and plump and perfect for his "lean meat" program. He could starve her slowly to death for a year and wait until she either dropped dead on her own or needed to be shot from emaciation. She would bring him 50 cents more per pound and that's all Monty cared about when it came to horse meat sales to the zoos.
Frankie was rescued with the other Bravo horses on 9/31/2009. She is comically lame, but in spite of her handicap, she has a zestful love for life. She is not in pain and is in permanent retirement at Gray Dapple's sanctuary.
