Update
9 horses were ultimately rescued from Bravo Packing Slaughterhouse. They were immediately brought to the Sorvinos' farm for rehabilitation and extensive veterinary care. 6 horses were adopted. 2 remain at Gray Dapple Thoroughbred Assistance Program and are currently available for adoption. 1 horse tragically died at the Sorvinos' farm, after the Sorvinos' expensive and heartfelt efforts to save his life.

Monty Merola, AKA "Lean Meat Monty" was the manager of Bravo Packing horse slaughterhouse for the past 15 years. In 2009 he died of terminal throat cancer.
